Two fairly big releases this week – Behen Hogi Teri and Raabta have released at the Box Office. Both the film have turned out unexpected and impressed for the audience as well as for the critics.
Raabta witnessed a poor opening of around 10-15%, which is quite bad, considering the hype it created before the release. The reincarnation theme in the film is highly accepted nowadays but Raabta could not manage to drag the expected audience to the theatres on the day of its release with its same theme storyline.
The romantic drama has earned Rs 4.75 crore (47.5 million) nett approx. on its first day, which is quite poor. Now the only weekend numbers can decide the fate of the film. If Raabta earns well on its first weekend, then the film promises a good one-week run at the Box Office. However, the chances are low as India v South Africa cricket match on Sunday can affect the collections a bit.
The other Bollywood release, Shruti Haasan-Rajkummar Rao starrer Behan Hogi Teri has turned out unexpected as well. The film is a complete washout and has earned only Rs 25-30 lakhs nett approx. on day one.
On the other hand, Hollywood release, ‘The Mummy” witnessed a poor opening of 10-15%. The first day collections of The Mummy are expected to be around Rs 3.50 crore net.
This week is surely not meant for moviegoers!
