‘Baaghi’ directed by Sabbir Khan has finally surpassed its first weekend at the box office. The film which is highly action oriented was mainly targeted at the young lot. The movie stars Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. Given their gigantic fan following amongst the youth, the film mostly saw youngsters at the screens. ‘Baaghi’ is not only an action film but is also a love story largely.
The movie received a very good response on the first day of its release. The film bagged a good opening also. ‘Baaghi’ has had a very good first weekend at the box office. ‘Baaghi’s first weekend collections are Rs. 11.75 crore net approx. on Friday, Rs. 11 crore net approx. on Saturday and Rs. 15.50 crore net approx. on Sunday. The total first weekend collection of ‘Baaghi’ comes to Rs. 38.25 crore net approx.
The film has received a good collection due lack of competition. With the strong cast of Tiger and Shraddha the movie also attracted loads of young crowds at the screens. Surprisingly, the film is earning amazingly well from the single screens than the multiplexes. The film has done a good business in Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan and Gujarat. It was expected that ‘Baaghi’ will work well in the metropolitan cities of Mumbai and Delhi, but collections have only been fair in the two cities.
The film starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor was also top notch in promotions which helped in the recall value. The collections of the film are expected to remain stable during the weekdays too.
