The film took 12 years to be made and it hasn’t been an easy journey for the Bhansali team. Since the launch of the teaser, the film was in all sorts of controversy and legal troubles. Once again, after a month of its release, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has fallen into another legal trouble.

According to report in a leading daily, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the entire team has been slammed by a notice by the Madhya Pradesh government. The makers have been sent the legal notice accusing them of not having showed the script to the descendants of the royal family. A descendant of the royal clan, Tamkeen Ali Bahadur, has moved the case to Jabalpur court claiming the film has destroyed the image of his clan by showing distorted facts. The notice also claims that the family had asked the censor board to show either the entire film or the share the script with them but nothing was done.

According to the notice, Ranveer, Deepika, Priyanka along with director Sanjay, writer N S Inamdar and the team associated with the movie will have to be present in the Jabalpur court in next four weeks to clarification on the entire case.
