Trust the Begum of Bollywood, aka Kareena Kapoor Khan to push the envelope, and strive for new looks as the years go by. We were chuffed at seeing Kareena’s new look for her item song in Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar.
Spotted on the sets of the action film Gabbar, Kareena Kapoor was seen emerging from her vanity van, dressed in an all-new avatar. The pretty Bollywood actress who has been seen on celluloid less and less post her marriage to the Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan, has been roped in for a special number in the A.R. Murugadoss directorial.
At Kamalistan Studio, Kareena was seen in a bright pink (“gulabi”, if you prefer) cropped top, exposing her midriff, and ripped jeans. Adorning her slender neck was a beautiful, chunky silver neck piece. Her hair was tied up loosely in a bun, in an attempt to beat the scorching Mumbai heat. Wearing minimal makeup, Kareena looked in the pink of health, quite literally!
Kareena Kapoor appears to have lost oodles of weight, and is looking more svelte and sexier than ever. She will be seen in many ensembles in this particular song, and will reportedly display her repertoire of laktas and jhatkas, in an effort to show the lovely lady’s still got it.
A source on the set informed us that Kareena was constantly glued to her phone between takes, texting and chatting with her shauhar. It was also learnt that though Kareena Kapoor shares warm vibes with the film’s hero Akshay Kumar, she did not interact much with him on the sets, preferring to focus on her dance rehearsals instead.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss (of Ghajini fame), Gabbar is an action-thriller, starring macho man Akshay Kumar and the pretty Shruti Haasan in the lead.
The film releases late in 2014.
