Finding Fanny At Toronto Film Festival

Finding Fanny Main coverDuring Cocktail’s release, director Homi Adajania made it amply clear that such moves are not his forte. He just did it to take a break from his brooding and foreboding stories. Then the film became a hit and people started being hopeful about more such films from him.

However, Homi didn’t feel he should follow it up with similar films and so you have Finding Fanny which is a Hindi-English language film set in Goa. We hear the film will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this year.

Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan’s Iluminati Films have joined hands with Fox Star Studios for this film. Given the language of the film, the makers will also release the film in a big way internationally and that’s where Fox Star International will do the honours. The first look of the film will be out on July and it will release in September.

Finding Fanny is about five Goans who take off on a search mission to find the love of a old postman. But they get lost and their journey gets prolonged.

The film has Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles. According to rumour, Anjali Patil plays Fanny in the film.
