MUMBAI: The first look poster of Yash Raj Film’s next ‘Gunday’ has been revealed. Starring Bollywood newcomer Arjun Kapoor and ‘Band Baja Baarat’ actor Ranveer Singh the first shooting schedule of the film began in Mumbai on December 14, 2012.

The poster does not reveal much, except the two stars facing their back to us, one holding a pistol, the other some debris. Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh face the Howrah bridge of Kolkata and stare far ahead into the distance. Their stance, their rugged look and bulging muscles promise us a lot of action. For Arjun Kapoor who has suddenly gone from fat to fit, this ‘Gunday’ feel should be much like his debut ‘Ishaqzaade’.

After delivering a blockbuster ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ (starring Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan), Director Ali Abbas Zafar is all set to wield the megaphone once again. Other than Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, the film also features   Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan. Apparently, the plot is based in the 70’s era. The story goes a little like this:

The inseparable Bikram and Bala, grew from being small time, inconsequential wagon breakers and coal thieves, to becoming the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men. As the infamy of these two renegades spread far and wide… the people of the sprawling city started calling the two happy-go-lucky rebels…’Gunday’.

‘Gunday’ is scheduled for a late 2013 release. This is the first film to go under production under the Yash Raj banner since the untimely demise of founder Yash Chopra this year.
