Here’s Why The Bachchan Family Will Not Be Celebrating Holi This Year

The most colourful festival is around the corner, Holi. This festival is widely celebrated across people of all ages, young and old enjoy it as much. B-Town Holi parties are a grand and fancy affair. Amitabh Bachchan and each of his family members make sure their calendars are clear to celebrate the festival together like every year. But this year, things will not be the same.

The Bachchans will not be celebrating Holi this year. Since past 2 weeks, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father, Krishna Raj Rai has been critically ill and in the ICU in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. In these couple of weeks, Mr. Rai’s condition hasn’t changed much and he continues to remain critical.

Every year, they make arrangements in advance to celebrate the festival together but this time the Bachchans are under immense stress because of Aishwarya’s dad deteriorating health conditions. Ash and Abhishek Bachchan are busy tending to Ash’s father and the entire atmosphere at their home is gloomy and tensed.

It is a well-known fact that the Holi party at the Bachchan’s is one of the most talked about in B-town, Even though, it is an intimate family affair, they do invite their close friends from the industry.

In fact, it has been reported that they will only partake in the customary Holika Pooja but not play with colours the next day. The entire Bachchan and Rai family is upset and extremely worried about Mr. Rai’s health.
