Details revealed about Salman Khan’s first production TV fiction series on an ace wrestler.
As earlier we reported, Bollywood actor Salman Khan is majorly being a part of TV nowadays. The actor is all set to venture into new things with his production house. Reportedly, the Sultan actor is all set to announce his first TV production show that will be based on an ace wrestler, Gama Pehalwan.
According to reports, Salman Khan is all set to produce a TV show on the life and times of Gama Pehalwan aka Ghulam Hussain, starring his brother Sohail Khan in the lead role. Reports suggest, Salman Khan has earlier wished to make a movie on the same topic but the project was shelved after he came to know that John Abraham too was keen on making a film on the same subject.

Former Bigg Boss contestant and actor Puneet Issar will direct the show with his son Siddhant, who will function as a co-director. Siddhanth has also written the script for the TV series.
The show will be 52 episodes of 1-hour each, twice a week and will be aired on Star Plus.
Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan will be playing the role of Gama Pehalwan. The story of the show will be set in the period of Partition in Amritsar, which was Gama’s hometown.
Gama Pehalwan was probably the greatest wrestler to ever walk the surface of the earth. Such was his fame and popularity that even Bruce Lee drew inspiration from him.
His winning streak started when he was just 10 years old and despite being 5 feet and 7 inches tall, he did not spare anyone, who made fun of his height.
After independence, he migrated to Pakistan and died at the age of 82 in 1960.
