Saif Ali Khan was approached for a special appearance in the upcoming Karan Johar’s directorial project Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Saif who has previously delivered the super hit Kal Ho Na Ho with Johar had to turn down this offer on account of being injured. Around the same time as the scheduled shooting, Saif met with an injury and was advised to rest for a couple of months.
Sources said that Karan is like family to Saif and Kareena and it was on Saif’s insistence that Johar agreed to cast another star after his ill-timed injury.
The B-town gossip mills were abuzz that the duo was upset with Johar as he decided to cast Shah Rukh Khan instead of Saif in his seventh directorial venture all set to release on October 28, 2016.
A statement issued by Kareena’s spokesperson clarified that the rumours were baseless and that Kareena is upset to hear such insensitive remarks.
Kareena and Saif are expecting their first child together in December this year.
Parents to be are also busy with their film shooting schedule. Saif’s next release will be Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut. And Mrs. Khan is also preparing for her post-delivery movie titled Veeray Di Wedding alongside Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. The film is jointly produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor.
