MUMBAI: Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor’s well awaited film this year ‘Besharam’, is to have a song from renowned punjabi rapper Honey Singh.

This is not Honey Singh’s first in Bollywood. The controversial singer, who in the span of a few years has multiplied his fan base with a massive 10,416,873 hits on Youtube approximately, brought out many chart busters in 2012. Some include songs from ‘Cocktail’, ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’, ‘Khildai 786’, ‘Race 2’ and ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’.

Now, Honey is all set to provide some hard core Punjabi beats for Ranbir’s ‘Besharam’. An insider from the film unit said, “He has been brought on board because his songs work well with the youth. His casual style is popular among young listeners and since the film also targets that audience, this association works in everyone’s favour.”

Director Abhinav Kashyap’s publicist confirmed, “Honey Singh will be singing in ‘Besharam’, he has done some really good work in the past and with Honey coming on board, the music album of the film is going to be quite interesting.”

‘Beshram’ directed by Abhinav Kashyap is a comedy film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Pallavi Sharda, Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor in lead roles. With the film’s tagline being “Na sammaan ka moh, na apmaan ka bhay” (No want for respect, no fear of disrespect), Honey Singh’s music will for sure make the film a must watch for the youth.

The movie is set to release on October 2, 2013.
