MUMBAI: Late Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra’s swan song ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, beauties Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will have a king-size grand premier in honour of its deceased director.

In accordance with Yash Chopra’s wishes, his wife Pam Chopra has decided that a grand film premiere be held to celebrate the release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan this Diwali.

Confirming the news Pam said, “I want to give my husband an unforgettable farewell. Accordingly, we have decided to have a grand premiere for his ultimate film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, exactly the way he wanted it,”

The enigmatic filmmaker unfortunately passed away on October 21, following a multi – organ failure as a result of severe Dengue fever, leaving Bollywood in a state of shock and emptiness. The entire film fraternity has been regularly visiting the Chopra household, united to support the family in their sorrow.

The last song sequence that Yash Chopra was to shoot for ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the Swiss Alps remains incomplete and the production house plans to leave it that way. They feel adding to the film would amount to “tampering his vision”.

Elaborating about the grand premier, Pam said, “This is a fitting tribute to a man who would have had it no other way. I have asked my sons Aditya and Uday to go ahead with all the preparations. This premiere is our way of celebrating his illustrious life, rather than mourning it.”

YRF will be hosting the premiere on 12th Nov 2012. The finest details of the event are being worked out to make it a completely flawless program as a tribute to the cinematic genius of Yash Chopra.
