Kangana Ranaut: Don’t Compare Me With Anyone

Kangana-RanautBollywood Queen actress Kangana Ranaut is currently riding high on the success of her recently released blockbuster film Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The actress received rave reactions from the audiences on her performance in the film. First Tanu Weds Manu, then Queen and then Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the actress mesmerized audiences by giving back to back three hit films in a row. Kangana, who made it big in the industry from the scratch, is known to be the type who never indulges in wordplay. The actress is never afraid to be herself and speak her mind and in a recent interview, Kangana opened about the things that hurt her. The actress made it clear that it hurts her when people compare her with her contemporaries.

During the promotions of her film Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana was often compared to Deepika Paudukone for her performance in Piku and Anushka Sharma for her on-screen performance in NH10. When asked how she feels about the constant comparison, the actress said that it hurts because she chose the longer route and not the easy one, just to maintain her individuality. “It’s very hurtful. I could have chosen the easy route but I stuck to my principles and took the longer route. I’ve said no to way too many things like dancing at weddings, endorsements, public appearances. Respect me and my struggle. I have worked very hard to maintain my individuality. Don’t compare me with anyone,” Kangana said.

On work front, the actress just recently signed Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming film Rangoon, which also stars Haider actor Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. While the filmmaker has teamed up with Shahid and Saif in separate films in the past, this is for the first time that Vishal and Kangana will be working together.
