Earlier it was reported that Kangana Ranaut was on board and all set to play the lead in Sujoy Ghosh’s next thriller drama. But if rumours are anywhere to be true, the actress is no longer a part of the film. Based on Japanese book The Devotion Of Suspect X by author Keigo Higashino, the Bollywood adaptation stars Saif Ali Khan. Reports suggest that Kangana, who never signed the contract, walked out of the film.
Queen actress had once confirmed the news about her being on board with the film and she also revealed that she had no commitment to the project, as she didn’t sign any contract yet. Reports further suggest that Kangana chose to not be part of Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming project because of few issues related to film’s budget and casting. Kangana already has few films in line for her and is all set to mesmerize the audiences with her upcoming film Tanu Weds Manu Returns, which releases this week on Friday, May 22, 2015. After that, Kangana wishes to take a small break and rest for a month or so, before starting with another project. However, the actress hasn’t confirmed the news about walking out of the project yet.
The Bollywood remake of The Devotion Of Suspect X, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, tells a story of a very clever mathematics professor who helps a divorced mother cover up a tragic event. The story is cat and rat chase. The film has already been made in Japanese and Korean languages, while it is being made in Hollywood as well. We are eager to see how director Sujoy Ghosh takes us through the story and who joins the cast of the film and fills the empty space left by Kangana Ranaut.
