Bollywood’s reigning actress Kangana Ranaut is leaving no stone unturned to climb the success ladder after her film ‘Queen’. ‘Queen’ actress Kangana Ranaut is on a winning spree in the tinsel town of Bollywood. The actress who has made a considerable mark for herself in the industry, has bagged one more title to her name. The actress is being labeled as the highest paid actress of Bollywood.
Recently, during an interview with a leading daily, Kangana Ranaut who has reached the level of Khans in Bollywood said that she wants to be called the ‘lady Aamir Khan’. As we all know that the actress has constantly been compared with Aamir Khan, as he is the top actor of Bollywood. Not just this, Aamir and Kangana both share some similarities. Both the actors never attend the awards show.
Kangana Ranaut who has geared up with the release of her upcoming film Katti Batti said, “Who wouldn’t want to be called ‘lady Aamir Khan’?
In the same interview, the ‘Queen’ actress even spoke about the remuneration she gets for her movies, and how it lags far behind that of Aamir, or any other Khan. As we all know, the actress has also been tagged as the highest paid actress of Bollywood. In the highest paid actors list, Kangana has Rs 11 crore to her credits, while Salman Khan leads with the pack of 60 crore earnings.
In comparison with male actors the actress said, “I am complaining too. There was a point when my complaint wasn’t rational and yet, I felt that way even earlier. But the data wasn’t supporting me. ‘Queen’ did make money, about Rs 100 cr, but still I wasn’t sure how much money could I ask for after that. Also, giving a 250 cr money is a different thing altogether. My getting Rs 11 cr is a small step towards that equality you are talking about, and as a woman I would also want to see…to be treated as an equal.”
