It’s no secret that Bollywood’s two of the most talented filmmakers Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali haven’t been on good terms for quite some time now. The things got heated between the two when Sanjay Leela Bhansali roped in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh for his film Ram Leela before Karan Johar could cast them in his film Shuddhi.
Yes, if rumours are anywhere to be true, Karan wanted to rope in Deepika Padukone and her alleged beau Ranveer Singh for his film Shuddhi after the chosen leads, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hrithik Roshan walked out of the project. But Sanjay Leela Bhansali got them first. Karan made it pretty clear that nothing was wrong by saying that he shares a very formal and friendly equation with the fellow filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
However, once Karan was asked whether he discussed his film Shuddhi with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, to which the director snapped saying there’s no reason for him to speak to him about his film, as he didn’t discuss Bajirao Mastani announcement with him. Later, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was heard saying that he doesn’t need anybody’s permission to finalize the cast of his film.
So as it goes, nobody expected Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar to be friendly at Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer film Piku’s success party. But to everybody’s surprise, Sanjay and Karan were seen chit chatting and mingling with each other. The two were smiling and talked about almost everything with each other, from past films to current films. By the time the party ended, all was well between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar. Finally the cold war between the two ended.
Matter of fact, the two even posed for a selfie together. Karan Johar took to his Instagram account and shared a picture of his with Sanjay Leela Bhansali captioning it “Sanjay!!!”
