Koffee With Karan Season 5 – Favourite Moments And What’s In The Hamper Revealed

Since the inception of Koffee with Karan in 2004, it’s one show that the celebrities look forward to being invited for. It has received that status symbol of sorts where you are an ‘in person’ in B-Town if you featured on Koffee with Karan.

Even though the host, Karan Johar, tries to rip the celebrity’s personal life apart and ask questions about “conjectures”, the B-Town celebs still come on the show to answer, avoid or simply attack Karan Johar when asked such questions.

Fifth installment of the show was “semi-scandalous, semi-sensational” as described by the host himself. This season also saw some unique pairings on the couch. The show, which completed 100 episodes in this season, came to an end with the distribution of the Koffee Awards. This time the show was criticized for being a promotion vehicle for films, but despite that there quite a few memorable moments in the show especially because sometimes the host of the show himself was at the receiving end of the questions and conjectures!

Shah Rukh Khan slayed it by reciting the classic nursery rhyme, ‘Marry Had A Little Lamb’ in signature Arnab style. This was just a fraction after his hilarious appearance on The Viral Fever’s Barely Speaking with Arnub?

When Alia Bhatt asked Karan who would he kill, marry and hook-up – Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He chose to kill Aishwarya Rai Bachchan because he can never cheat on his dear friend Abhishek Bachchan.

Aamir Khan put Karan on an extremely tight spot when he asked Karan Johar to name the best superstar out of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh and himself (Aamir). Karan safely called for a break.

Karan Johar pulled a never before and got Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to share the couch, the two current stars with Deepika in common. When Karan asked Ranbir whether it affects his equation with Ranveer, Ranbir pointed out that it has been years since they broke up and quietly added, “and I hope they go on to make beautiful babies.” #awkward?

Katrina Kaif was in a never seen avatar before. The actress, who was adjudged as the Best Female Performance by the Koffee Awards jury, is usually shy and introverted. But on the show she revealed her never-seen-before humorous side. She revealed how Varun Dhawan formed an ‘I Hate Katrina Kaif’ club and also roped in Arjun Kapoor.

The 100th episode with the Khan brothers – Salman, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. They were at their candid best and also indulged in self-deprecating humour. Sohail explained how poetic it was that they had been invited for the 100th episode as Salman is the ‘1’ in the ‘100’ while Arbaaz and Sohail represent the two zeroes. This was also adjudged as the ‘Best Quote’ in Koffee Awards.

The appearance of Kangana stirred much controversy when she called Karan “movie mafia” and “flag bearer of nepotism”. It was one of the most entertaining episodes of the season where the ‘Queen’ of Bollywood stripped the host and ace director, Karan apart keeping sense of humour intact.

Twinkle Khanna gave the most entertaining episode of this season where one could not stop laughing. She revealed details from Karan’s childhood that left even the host in splits. First, she revealed that Karan had his first kiss while playing house and the only thing he decided to do was stir daal.

The celebrities fight diligently and ferociously for the coveted Koffee Hamper. But have you ever wondered what these celebrities get as a present in the hamper when they win? This year Karan Johar not only revealed but also showed the following list of items that are in it:
