Krushna Abhishek’s Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza Going Off Air

After lots of controversies, the makers have decided the pull the plug on the show. This Krushna Abhishek-Bharti Singh’s Comedy Night Bachao Taaza, is set to go off air in February next year. The roast format has clearly not gone well with their guests and irking the Bollywood industry which led to actors refusing to come on the show and promote their movies even.

The distasteful nature of the jokes has led to actors like John Abraham and Tannishtha Chatterjee walked out of the episodes. Parched actor Tannishtha found the roast racist (she was addressed as `kaali kalooti’) and John did not appreciate comments about his acting skills. The channel, on behalf of the show, issued an apology to the actor.

Krushna was quoted saying that, “Yes, the show will wind up around February, but we’ll return with another show three months later. It is doing extremely well and we have shot with almost 400 actors but it has reached its saturation point so we thought of concluding it on a high.”

One immediately connects the dots and assumes it is because of the controversies. On being asked about it, Krushna quickly denied it, “Not at all, but, at the same time, we don’t want to ruin our relationship with people in the industry. However, I do wish to clarify that John didn’t walk out. He had completed the episode which was even aired later.”
