But alas, that is not going to happen this year. Revelers will have to make do with recreating their dance moves themselves.
Both actresses have, reportedly, declined all offers to perform at New Year parties on 31 December, opting instead to spend time with family.
While Katrina’s ‘Chikni Chameli’ had set the music charts on fire, Kareena Kapoor’s sizzling item number ‘Fevicol Se’ has been making waves even before the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 2’ this Christmas.
Katrina Kaif has apparently rejected big money for performing, to go to London and spend Christmas and New Year’s with her mother and sister instead.
Revealed a source, “Katrina never performs on December 31. That is her rule. Every year, she spends the time from Christmas till New Year with her family. Even this year, three organizers from five-star hotels have offered her Rs. 5 crore each, and four others have offered her gigs worth Rs. 4.75 crore each. But she has refused all of them.”
Newly married Begum of Pataudi, Kareena Kapoor on the other hand, has been offered similar lucrative deals. But she is leaving for her honeymoon after Christmas and will be spending time with hubby Saif Ali Khan instead.
But the good news?
Once the new year sets in, both actresses have live performances lined up. And as long as their personal security guards can accompany them, neither are of them are averse to performing at weddings as well!
