MUMBAI: It’s a year today since Rajesh Khanna left us, but he still lingers in our memories through his immortal roles in films like ‘Anand’, ‘Aradhana’ and ‘Kati Patang’. And to commemorate his legacy, a statue of Rajesh Khanna will be installed at Bandra Bandstand.
The statue, a brass one, will immortalise one of Kaka’s iconic roles from his films. The statue will be unveiled, today, on his death anniversary.
The statue will rest at the Walk Of The Stars, where statues of other prominent film personalities like Yash Chopra, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand are present.
Although the statue will be unveiled today, it will be installed only after a month.
This is a nice initiative to bring people closer to the stars, and also a good way to keep Rajesh Khanna alive in our memories.
