MUMBAI: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s little bundle of joy, Azad Rao Khan celebrated his first birthday recently in Mumbai. The tiny tot had just completed his first year on planet Earth, when his parents decided to host a small, intimate birthday party to celebrate his first birthday.
It was a very small gathering of only close family and friends, and the party was held at the residence of superstar Aamir Khan.
We spotted wifey Kiran Rao playing host to the hilt, and taking care of the few friends and family who had come to ring in the little one’s big day. Aamir’s ex-wife Reena Dutta was also present, along with their daughter Ira Khan. The mother-daughter were seen bearing cute little presents and a homemade cake tray, while entering the apartment.
The proud papa was seen carrying his little son into the party in a bright red stroller. The perfectionist actor looked like a teenager, with a casual black tee and matching cap.
Aamir had recently made an appearance on a TV show, with all the saas-bahu characters bombarding him with questions about his real life. He had revealed that he shares a very cordial relationship with his ex-wife Reena, and that she was a “wonderful mother” to both his kids, Ira and Junaid.
He said, “When Reena and I got married, we were extremely young. She was 19, I was just 21. So in our marriage we grew up together. Of course, when we separated, it was tough and heartbreaking for the both of us. But we came out of it much stronger, and now we are very good friends. Among the people who have shaped my life, I consider my mother, Reenaji and Kiranji the most important women in my life.”
