Raj Thackeray Speaks Up On Brokering Deal Over Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Release!

Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which released on October 28, witnessed a smooth release after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray suggested that he will not block the release of the film. The step was taken only after Karan Johar promised that he will not sign any Pakistani artistes in his any upcoming film. While Raj Thackeray took the decision to allow the release of the film, some people launched a propaganda that Raj Thackeray did this due to upcoming elections and also that he brokered a deal over Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release.

Talking about the lies spread over his decision on allowing the release of ADHM, Raj Thackeray said, “When we sought a ban on the film, some people launched a propaganda that I was doing it because there were elections coming up and started spreading lies that I had brokered a deal. But, let me tell these people that Raj Thackeray is not for sale and our stand on the issue is clean and clear.”

Raj Thackeray also stated that he had warned filmmakers but they did not listen to his warning. “When the movie was being filmed, I knew there were Pakistani artistes and they (the filmmakers) were warned that time. But, they did not listen,” he said.

After our agitation, the producers clarified that they will not take any Pakistani actor in their films henceforth and that is what we wanted,” he added while addressing a congregation of party workers.
