[imagebrowser id=247] MUMBAI: The awards season for 2012 has just kicked off yet again, in Bollywood. We spotted the biggest names in tinseltown, at the ‘Big Star’ Awards red carpet. Here’s a sneak peak…
Bollywood’s hottest stars descended on the red carpet, at the ‘Big Star’ Awards night held in the city recently. The awards winners and performers dazzled upon the shining red carpet, dressed in their designer best.
Bollywood’s biggest names were vying for space, out on the star-studded carpet, so much so that every time we turned around, we spotted another superstar and his/ her entourage.
Among the leading men, Salman ‘Dabangg’ Khan was there: in the same grey suit he chose to wear to Abhinav Shukla’s wedding reception later that night.
‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar, whose last film ‘Khiladi 786’ didn’t do as well as expected at the box office, also made an appearance, in a shiny steel grey suit and a 2-day old stubble.
Abhishek Bachchan came along, and it is reported that the Junior Bachchan won an award for comedy at this awards night.
Bollywood’s leading ladies were represented by Priyanka Chopra, in a peach honeysuckle coloured gown; backless, may we add! Priyanka has most recently added ‘DJ’ to her long list of repertoires.
Katrina Kaif dazzled one and all in her gold lamé gown, and Deepika surprised us with her zebra-printed one-shouldered gown.
Kareena Kapoor sported an androgynous look, in a black suit and hair neatly done in a bun.
Arjun Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana led the charge of Bollywood’s red hot youth brigade. Sania Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari, Irrfan Khan, and Divya Dutta were also present. Dancing directors Prabhudeva and Remo D’Souza were seen shaking a leg on the red carpet. The two are of course, trying to promote their film ‘AnyBody Can Dance’ which is touted to be India’s first 3D Dance film.
