Salman Khan adds yet another feather to his cap as he ventures into TV production.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been producing films under his production banner SKF and is maintaining a perfect balance between Bollywood and TV since years. The actor is all set to venture into new things with his production house. Reportedly, the Sultan actor is all set to announce his first TV production show that will be based on an ace wrestler.
According to reports, Salman Khan is all set to produce a TV show on the life and times of Gama Pehalwan aka Ghulam Hussain, starring his brother Sohail Khan in the lead role. Reports suggest, Salman Khan has earlier wished to make a movie on the same topic but the project was shelved after he came to know that John Abraham too was keen on making a film on the same subject.
Reports further reveal, the story of the show will be set in the period of Partition in Amritsar, which was Gama’s hometown. Gama Pehalwan was probably the greatest wrestler to ever walk the surface of the earth. Such was his fame and popularity that even Bruce Lee drew inspiration from him. His winning streak started when he was just 10 years old and despite being 5 feet and 7 inches tall, he did not spare anyone, who made fun of his height. After independence, he migrated to Pakistan and died at the age of 82 in 1960.
We can’t wait for this project to go air. What about you?
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently in Abu Dhabi to shoot the third schedule of his upcoming film, Tiger Zinda Hai along with former girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The film is a sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and is going to be beyond expectation as Hollywood’s award-winning action director Tom Struthers has been roped in to choreograph the stunt sequences in the film. Tiger Zinda Hai is scheduled to release this year in December!
