Salman Khan’s ‘Mental’ To Change To ‘Jai Ho’?

Salman Khan may change the title of his upcoming film 'Mental' to 'Jai Hind' keeping in mind the patriotic flavour of the film.

MUMBAI: Looks like title changes are very much in vogue. After ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ underwent many changes to its title, it is now the turn of Salman Khan’s next film.

Salman Khan’s ‘Mental’, to be released on 24 January, 2014, will probably change its name to ‘Jai Ho’. Sources say there are a number of reasons behind this title change.

The film is a remake of the Andhra actor Chiranjeevi-starrer ‘Stalin’, a 2006 Telugu film, directed by AR Murugadoss. Chiranjeevi’s role in the film was that of a Major in the Indian Army who wanted to make the world a better place for everyone.

The other reason is that of the period of the release of the film. ‘Mental’ will be releasing on the Republic Day weekend, a huge break from the normal Eid release that Salman Khan’s films enjoy. Keeping in mind the patriotic element in the film and the period of release, the makers are contemplating changing the title to ‘Jai Ho’.

‘Mental, or ‘Jai Ho’, is directed by Sohail Khan, and stars Tabu, Daisy Shah and Sana Khan along with superstar Salman Khan.
