MUMBAI: We are not talking about Shah Rukh Khan playing mentor to launch a new actress in upcoming film ‘Chennai Express’.
‘Titli’ is the title of Shah Rukh Khan’s new song in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’. The actor uploaded the video of the new song on social networking site Twitter and the video is also available on YouTube.
Titli is beautifully sung by Chinmayi Sripaada (the A.R. Rahman prodigy) and Gopi Sunder. Charulatha Mani and Madhumita Mani sing the Tamil lyrics in the song.
It’s definitely better in tune and melodious as compared to ‘One Two Three’, which was released a week before.
The song bears a certain resemblance to ‘Sooraj hua Maddham’ (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham) and ‘Jiya Jale’ (Dil Se). Especially when Shah Rukh Khan in his trademark style spreads his arms out and the sequences with Deepika Padukone where he dances, clad in a white mundu to a Tamil tune playing in the background.
