Does Shah Rukh Khan REGRET Turning Down Sanjay Dutt’s Munnabhai MBBS? Actor Speaks Up!

Did you know Shah Rukh Khan was offered Munnabhai MBBS? Here’s what he has to say.

The King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has a long standing association with Nanavati Hospital. Last evening, he inaugurated their Bone Marrow Centre.

During his interaction with the media, Shah Rukh was asked about how he felt that the one movie in Bollywood that is strongly associated with doctors and hospitals, Munnabhai MBBS was rejected by him.

To this he said, “Each actor has a film written in his destiny and I don’t think I would have done it as well as Sanjay Dutt at all. I think he was fantastic in it.”

Not many know that Munnabhai MBBS was written by Rajkumar Hirani with Shah Rukh Khan in mind. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra had offered it to Shah Rukh but he rejected it apparently due to health issues. Munnabhai MBBS was a massive success and gave Sanjay Dutt a new high in his professional graph.

SRK has been coming to Nanavati with injuries post stunts for the past 25 years. The hospital also has a ward named after his late mother, Lateef Fatima Khan.

Professionally, SRK is riding high on success of Raees which was the first movie of 2017 to enter into the 100 crore club. He is right now gearing up for Imitaz Ali’s yet untitled project alongside Anushka Sharma.
