Shocking! Naagin 2 Is Going Off Air And It’s Being Replaced By This Show

Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Naagin 2’ has been unbeatable at the TRP chart as the number one show since it’s gone on air. This highest-rated Color TV’s show is all set to have a finale in June this year. Yes, the show is going off air soon.

The story of this super-natural show’s season will come an end with Shivangi (Mouni Roy) avenging her mother, Shivanya’s killers. Naagin 2 will be replaced by another Balaji Telefilms’ show ‘Chandrakanta’.

According to source of an entertainment portal, “This was anyways planned as Naagin is a finite series that’s supposed to end. It will back again in Diwali as it’s one of the highest rated show till date on Colors. The channel wants the show to air by November. So, Naagin will have a season three and Ekta might consider fresh faces for the same.”

Meanwhile, for ‘Chandrakanta’, Madhurima Tuli is almost finalized for the lead role. Madhurima was last seen as Tanu in Kumkum Bhagya which she quit to play Akshay Kumar’s wife in the movie, ‘Baby’. She was also part of ‘Naam Shabana’.

Besides Madhurima, many other telly actresses like Nia Sharma and Hina Khan auditioned for the role. Unlike Life Ok’s ‘Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta’ this one will have a different take on the classic tale written by Devaki Nandan Khatri.

For the male leads Mrunal Jain and Mohit Malik have auditioned for the lead role of Prince Virendra Singh. But reports suggest that Ekta Kapoor wants a fresh face to be cast to play the prince.
