Sonakshi Sinha To Share Screen Space With Her Entire Family?
MUMBAI: Will director of Akshay Kumar starrer, recent Bollywood flick ‘Oh My God!’, Umesh Shukla, achieve the seemingly impossible task of roping in Sonakshi’s family and casting them in one film? If recent reports are to be believed, this might just be the case. Read on to find out more…
Rumour mills are abuzz that Umesh Shukla has been approached to helm a family drama, with actress Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. And not just Sonakshi, we might just get a chance to see other Sinha family members in the film, if scripting goes well.
Revealed Shukla, “Talks are on, but nothing is official right now. I have not signed it yet. I am developing a script right now and I am looking forward to it. Sonakshi did an item number for my film ‘OMG – Oh My God!’ and we are very good friends. I share a very good relationship with her family. Sonakshi will play the lead in my film for sure.”
Shukla adds that he has been approached by the Sinha family’s banner, and that the film will be “a family drama and issue-based”.
However, the director is quick to clarify that he may or may not rope in other Sinha family members, including Luv Sinha and veteran actor Shatrugan Sinha, if the script doesn’t demand it. “I will not do that (rope in all family members). It all depends on the script. Just to get the family together, I will not cast them. It should justify the role. So let’s see how things fall in place.”
We recently spotted ‘Dabangg 2’ girl Rajjo aka Sonakshi Sinha along with her onscreen husband Chulbul Pandey aka Salman Khan on sets of TV serial ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which airs on Star Plus. The duo was promoting their upcoming film, with both stars still in character: Salman in his cop uniform and Sonakshi looking pretty as the village belle in a yellow sari. Also on sets were stars of the TV show, Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh.
