The Kapoors To Dance To Mika-Daler’s Tunes in ‘Besharam’
MUMBAI: They say Bollywood is quite the mom-and-pop style family business. Looks like the team of ‘Besharam is taking the tagline of one of Karan Johar’s multi successful films, “It’s all about loving your family,” quite seriously…
‘Besharam’, already a family outing for one branch of Bollywood’s first family i.e. Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Singh, who all star in Abhinav Kashyap’s zany comedy film. Add to that will be another family, singing tunes for the Kapoor trio.
Musician brothers Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh have been roped in to belt out a special dance number for ‘Besharam’. The song, ‘Hand Uthake Nachche’, will reportedly portray a sort of dance-off between Ranbir’s character Babli and the two cops on his trail, played by his real-life parents.
Composed by music director Lalit Pandit, the special song will be shot at a special set in Film City, with choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar helming the sequence. Daler Mehndi will lend his voice to Rishi’s character, while Ranbir’s part will be sung by Mika.
Said a source on the film’s unit: “A set is being constructed at Film City and choreographer Bosco and Ceasar have been roped in for this song. Sunidhi Chauhan will be the voice of Neetu Kapoor and Abhinav is leaving no stone unturned for the big day. He has told his team to make sure that everything is in place before the Kapoors arrive to ensure a smooth shoot.”
Ranbir is currently busy filming for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ in Sri Lanka (READ STORY HERE- http://businessofcinema.com/news/pillar-to-post-ranbir-kapoor-shuttles-between-anurag-and-abhinav-kashyap/93640), and will fly down to Mumbai towards the end of the month to can the song sequence.
Added the source: “In the film Rishi and Neetu chase around Ranbir and the song will have a jugalbandi between the Kapoors reflecting the old vs new theme.”
