MUMBAI: The ‘Dhoom 3’ trailer, as we had reported, is releasing today. What most eager fans do not know, however, is just how tight the security was to ensure no leaks prior to official release…
The ‘Dhoom 3’ trailer, and film will be the first Bollywood film to be released in the IMAX format. We had reported earlier that the trailer conversion to IMAX format had cost the makers nearly an additional Rs 2 crore.
And now, it has been learnt, that the lengths of security the makers went to to ensure fool-proof secrecy. The event today to launch the trailer will take place at South Mumbai’s Phoenix Mall, amid watertight security.
Officials from YRF hired an agency to conduct two separate recces, to ensure everything goes off smoothly.
Not only that, the IMAX trailer was tested at the theatre to ensure no technical glitch marred the event.
Further, for Aamir Khan’s viewing of the final cut of the trailer, a YRF official flew down to New Delhi especially. Though the trailer could have been transferred via the internet, care was taken to avoid any foul play; hence the special treatment.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, ‘Dhoom 3’ stars Aamir Khan in a negative role, along with Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. ‘Dhoom 3’ is slated for a 20 December, 2013 release.
