With the onset of Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and soon to be joining them, Sonam Kapoor, it is obvious that all A-listers are asked about realizing their Hollywood dreams. Kareena Kapoor Khan is no exception.
In fact when she appeared on the current season of Koffee with Karan along with Sonam she made it very clear that she has no such dream or aspiration and she respects people who try and balance their Bollywood and Hollywood careers.
Bebo was recently present at the launch of a new channel by Sony Pictures Networks India, along with UK’s BBC’s commercial arm BBC Worldwide, is set to launch premium factual entertainment channel, Sony BBC Earth in India. In the interaction with press during the event, she was asked about whether the value, financially and otherwise, of an actor increases if they are also working outside India? Do they become a bigger more sellable brand?
To this she very nicely responded saying, “Working abroad doesn’t mean anything. If one works abroad and comes back and gets a salary hike is something I don’t know. It doesn’t matter whether you work in Hollywood or Bollywood, your brand value is based on what and how much you deliver. And this is based on your personality, Brand is all about personality.”
