MUMBAI: Salman Khan is possibly Bollywood’s most considerate hero. The ‘Chulbul Pandey’ of B’town is extremely mindful of his female co-stars’ comfort levels and takes their off-screen personas into account while filming.

The latest Bollywood heroine to see this side of Salman is none other than Mrs. Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Although her newly married status and her in-laws have not specifically prohibited her from doing anything on screen, Salman has gone one step ahead in his quest to ensure his co-star and her family is comfortable.

For his upcoming film, ‘Dabbang 2’, Kareena is performing an item song with him called ‘Fevicol’. However, contrary to the expectations of intimacy and some serious chemistry between the pair, the choreographer Farah Khan has been asked to keep it clean.

Salman has strictly specified to Farah to keep the raunchiness to a bare minimum, in this song.

The reason for Salman’s guidelines stem from the fact that he has always regarded Kareena as his co-star Karisma’s younger sister, and does not want to be seen on screen very intimately with her.

What also adds to the awkwardness is that Kareena has recently wed his friend Saif Ali Khan, and post the marriage Salman is even more hesitant to get close to the Begum, on screen.

Reveals a source close to Salman, “There are absolutely no post-marital do’s and don’ts for Kareena. She is free to do what she likes. There are no restrictions on her. The women in the Pataudi family whether it is Sharmila or Soha, are free to do what they think is right and Kareena is no exception. The decision to keep the item song at a fun-but-decorous level comes from Salman himself.”

Apparently, Salman wanted the item song with Kareena to be done as discreetly and tastefully as possible.

“And after the wedding, he is even more conscious of his co-star Lolo’s baby sister Bebo being Mrs. Kapoor Khan,” the source said.

Salman was faced with a similar situation earlier in ‘Dabbang’, when he had to film the ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ item song with his sister-in-law Malaika Arora Khan.

At that shoot, Salman was so embarrassed that he had worn sunglasses, and did not look at his bhabhi directly while performing his raunchy steps.
