She had complained to the police some time ago too, filing a non-cognisable complaint (NC) against her husband alleging harassment and abuse in July 2012. At that time, the police had asked her to approach a court.

Prince Tuli, who has a transport and hospitality business, was booked by the Amboli police for dowry harassment under section 498 and unnatural sex under section 377 of Indian Penal code. The actress’ in-laws have also been named as accused in the dowry harassment case, according to her complaint.

Prabhakar Medhe, senior police inspector of Amboli police station said, “We have recorded Mookhey’s statement and are in the process of arresting Tuli and his family.”

Yukta Mookhey was crowned Miss World in December 1999 at the age of 22. She married Prince Tuli in Mumbai in November 2008. According to sources the couple grew distant around April 2012 after the actress had gone to Dubai for a vacation along with her husband and in-laws. Sources also said that her in-laws did not her support her aspirations to be an actor. She has been staying with her parents along with her three year-old son for a year now.
