MUMBAI: Looks like Akshay Kumar may not end up being the ‘Boss’ after all!

On the first day, the Bakri Eid holiday, ‘Boss’ earned Rs 110 million (Rs 11 crore) nett. (Read story here.) On the second day, a working one, it collected Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore) nett. (Read story here.) And now on the third day, it went down further.

It is understandable that being a working day, and with another Hindi film ‘Shahid’ releasing, collections would be hit, but going lower on a weekend is never a good sign.

‘Boss’ collected Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crore) nett on Friday – the third day. This takes the total collection up to Rs 240 million (Rs 24 crore) nett.

With the weekend over the audience, we wonder if crowds will jostle to watch Akshay Kumar’s latest offering ‘Boss’. If not, it is an indication that a big actor, good songs and masala one-liners are not enough to make a film a blockbuster.
