MUMBAI: Salman Khan has done it again! On it’s opening day (Friday), Khan’s new movie – Dabangg saw net collections of Rs 145 million (Rs 14.50 crore) in India, beating 3 Idiots’ record.

Mumbai – Rs 53 million (Rs 5.30 crore)
East Punjab – Rs 13.80 million (Rs 1.38 crore)
CP Berar – Rs 9.1 million (Rs 91 lakhs)
Rajasthan – Rs 8.1 million (Rs 81 lakhs)
Nizam – Rs 7.7 million (Rs 77 lakhs)
CI – Rs 6.2 million (Rs 62 lakhs)
West Bengal – Rs 6 million (Rs 60 lakhs)
Mysore – Rs 5 million (Rs 50 lakhs)
Going by the euphoria surrounding Salman Khan, who is being touted as Bollywood’s Rajnikant after Dabangg, the opening weekend collections of the movie should be in the range of Rs 430 – 450 million (Rs 43- 45 crore) and will beat 3 Idiots’ Rs 380 million (Rs 38 crore) opening weekend record.
