Superstar Salman’s mandatory release of Eid 2012, has worked its way to one of the top performers at the Indian box office, with much ease.

Effortlessly sidelining current releases on its first day on 15th August, and dominating over new releases like Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, Ek Tha Tiger had surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark within 5 days of release.

And now after 12 days, Ek Tha Tiger is gliding through to the Rs 200 crore mark with its Indian and Overseas business.

As for the second weekend figures, being consistent on Saturday and drawing a colossal response on Sunday, the second weekend total of the film is in the range of Rs 210 million (Rs 21 crore) net.

This brings the 12 day approximate total of the film to a massive Rs 1.75 billion (Rs 175 crore) net.

If the overseas figures are included the film has collected a magnificent Rs 2.1 billion (Rs 210 crore) net.

For cine-goers the hysteria has still not died down, an many are going in for a repeat treat. If the trend continues the film will override original expectations, which were already quite high.
