Abhishek Kapoor’s latest directorial ‘Kai Po Che’, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav has witnessed a good jump on its opening weekend.

MUMBAI: While the other Bollywood release this week, ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ completely petered out in its opening weekend at the box office, Abhishek Kapoor’s latest directorial ‘Kai Po Che’ produced by UTV Motion Pictures saw a brighter first 3 days.

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav, ‘Kai Po Che’ has witnessed a good jump on its opening weekend. As reported, the film managed to garner a decent approximate Rs 43 million (4.3 crore) on Friday, when it released in theatres. The figures have picked up fairly over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday (Day 2 and Day 3) seeing business in the ranges of Rs 61 million (Rs 6.10 crore) net and Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore) net respectively.

As was the case on Day 1, the weekend business was mostly from trade circles like Mumbai, Delhi and Pune. The business seen by mass circuits in UP, Rajasthan, Bihar and Punjab is comparatively lower. The three day total of the film comes close to about Rs 174 million (Rs 17.4 crore) net, which is a fantastic figure for a film featuring on A-Lister.

The opening weekend bodes well for the times to come for ‘Kai Po Che’. The reviews are strong and so is the word of mouth.
