The film had a great run on its first weekend at the box office but has dropped more than 50% on its first Monday. ‘Hate Story 3′ collected Rs. 3.50 crores net approx (Rs. 35 million) on its first Monday and is expected to show somewhat similar performance throughout the weekdays which should ensure a good run by the beginning of second weekend.

‘Hate Story 3’ collected Rs. 8.25 crores net approx on Friday,Rs. 6.75 crores on Saturday and Rs. 7.50 crores on Sunday. The Monday collection of Rs. 3.50 crores shows more than 50% drop from its Sunday collection, making it a total of Rs. 26 crores net approx. The film is expected to collect Rs. 34 crores net approx by the end of this weekdays. ‘Hate Story 3′ is expected to have similar lifetime business to last year’s release ‘Ragini MMS 2’ which collected Rs. 46 crores net approx over all and is expected to beat the record set by ‘Jism 2’. The film will also perform better than its two sequels.

The film performed the best in Northern regions like UP, CP Berar, CI where such genre of films have huge audience. Performance in rest of Maharashtra apart from Mumbai and Pune have also been remarkable. Owing to the legacy of the film series, the film enjoyed an awareness among the audience who knew what the film will be offering. ‘Hate Story 3′ starring Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah among others is a journey of erotica which shows romance, love, hate and revenge.
