MUMBAI: In its first week run at the box office, the Hrithik Roshan – Barbara Mori starrer Kites has done a net business of approximately Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore).
As was reported by Businessofcinema.com, the opening day net collections of the movie were second highest after 3 Idiots. Paid previews of the movie brought in approximately Rs 17.60 million (Rs 1.76 crore).
On the other hand, in the overseas markets the movie has grossed around Rs 180 million (Rs 18 crore) in week one. It may be recalled that the international version of the movie – Kites – The Remix, which has been edited by Bret Ratner released on 28 May.
