MUMBAI: Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Lootera’, produced by Balaji Telefilms and Phantom Films, starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha has picked up in collections over the opening weekend.
As reported, on Friday, opening day, ‘Lootera’ managed to kick off to a middling start by raking in approximately Rs 43.6 million (Rs 4.36 crore) net.
However, the weekend picked up reasonably due to good reviews and word-of-mouth, with the film managing to secure a good business in the range of Rs 61.2 million (Rs 6.12 crore) net on Saturday and Rs 68.4 million (Rs 6.84 crore)net on Sunday.
The three day total for ‘Lootera’ is in the range of Rs 173.2 million (Rs 17.32 crore) net.
