MUMBAI: The multi-starrer Raajneeti has had a dream run at the box office so far. The movie’s first week net collections stand at Rs 547.50 million (Rs 54.75 crore), which is the third highest opening week collections after 3 Idiots and Ghajini.
While 3 Idiots’ opening week net collections were Rs 800 million (Rs 80 crore), while Ghajini’s first week net collections stood at Rs 570 million (Rs 57 crore).
Raajneeti’s first seven day India net collections’ break up is as follows:
Friday – Rs 105 million (Rs 10.5 crore)
Saturday – Rs 110 million (Rs 11 crore)
Sunday – Rs 125 million (Rs 12.50 crore)
Monday – Rs 62.50 million (Rs 6.25 crore)
Tuesday – Rs 58.50 million (Rs 5.85 crore)
Wednesday – Rs 45 million (Rs 4.5 crore)
Thursday – Rs 41.50 million (Rs 4.15 crore)
Raajneeti’s opening week net collections are followed by My Name Is Khan and Housefull – Rs 470 million (Rs 47 crore) each, Love Aaj Kal and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi – Rs 420 million (Rs 42 crore) each, Singhh Is King and Kites – Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore) each and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani – Rs 375 million (Rs 37.50 crore).
