If you have kept tabs on Hollywood news then you would know that singer Kesha has been going through a difficult time in her life. A case was filed against her music producer Dr. Luke on charges of him maltreating Kesha. Dr. Luke counter charged her for defaming him claiming she just wanted to get of out the contract. Even the court did not take Kesha‘s side stating she can’t get out of the contract as the music label will suffer great loss. So, in turn, she can’t release any music without Dr. Luke‘s consent.
Well, Kesha fans can breathe for a moment as she released her first song since her legal battle started and it is a collaboration with Zedd. The singer teased a snippet of the song titled ‘True Colors’ on her Twitter account before dropping the full song. ‘True Colors’ is a cover of Zedd’s 2015 song with the same name. The song is a powerful way to come back in the music industry. Lyrically, Kesha is trying to say that she is ready to fight and show her true colors. At Coachella 2016, Kesha gave surprise performance with Zedd on the song. That was the first time she made a public appearance since February after her court hearing.
Kesha is still legally bound with Dr. Luke but Zedd revealed that they got consent from producer’s imprint Kemosabe to released the new song. The song was released through Interscope/Kemosabe/RCA.
Well, it looks like Kesha is going strong and we can see that through her music.
