LOS ANGELES: Oscar night is a true night of pure celebration, where the party “isn’t over until it’s over”, as the saying goes. From the main awards night, to a host of fabulous after-parties, Hollywood celebrated the Oscars this year in sheer style and showmanship.

The Governor’s Ball was where most the action was at, with winners and losers alike heading straight for the Ray Dolby Ballroom, inside Hollywood’s famed Dolby Theatre.

Best Supporting Actress Anne Hathaway was on cloud nine, as she proudly posed and preened with her gorgeous golden statuette. Also spotted at the Governors Ball was Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence, who arrived with family and friends.

Buzz is that Ben Affleck, who’s film ‘Argo’ swept the Best Picture trophy was seen entering the venue with George Clooney. Ben, ever the humorous one screamed out: “Look, it’s George Clooney!”, in an effort to distract reporters and divert attention from himself on the red carpet. The duo were spotted posing inside for pictures with their respective dates: Jennifer Garner and Stacey Kiebler, along with Best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain.

Steven Spielberg was seen entering with his wife, while Michael Douglas was spotted deep in conversation with a few of his friends from Hollywood, as his gorgeous wife Catherine Zeta Jones looked on. Songstress extraordinaire Adele was seen greeting John Travolta, who’d already tucked in at a comfy table and was halfway through his meal.

Quentin tarantino was seen enjoying a glass of the finest champagne, while Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lawrence shared a word nearby. Reportedly, Ang Lee arrived the last at 2 a.m, and was seen deep in conversation with Peggy Siegal.
