Priyanka Chopra has a beautiful voice and recently released her single with ‘Pitbull’. What’s more the actor also has lent her voice for an Asian character Ishani in Disney’s animated venture, ‘Planes’.

While it is not just about giving life to the character, Priyanka Chopra has also sung a song in the film.

‘Planes’ directed by Klay Hall is about Dusty, a small town plane wanting to become a highflying racer. It is inspirational of sorts. Priyanka Chopra has lent her voice to Ishani, a yellow plane, who is a Pan-Asian champ from India.

The song had to be sung with a sense of slight pride and Priyanka suited the role perfectly.

“My character is very sporting and spirited. Disney makes films with most lovable characters. I am quite excited to be lending my voice for Ishani, a champ from India. She is feminine and so competitive. Its something different from what I have done so far, It was lot of fun bringing this animated character live on screen,” says an elated Priyanka Chopra.

This isn’t the first time stars have lent their voices for animated characters. But having sung a full song for the animated film is surely the first in Bollywood. Great going!

‘Planes’ will release on 26 July. It is distributed worldwide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
