Actor Brandon William Jones, best known for his role as Andrew Campbell in Freeform’s hit series ‘Pretty Little Liars’, has landed in a huge trouble. The actor was arrested on Thursday, April 14, 2016, on the charges of allegedly pointing a handgun at his neighbour.
It is said that last month Brandon got into an argument with a male neighbour. During the fight, he brought out a firearm and pointed a handgun at the man. According to reports on various websites, the incident took place on March 24, 2016, when he allegedly threatened his neighbour but no shot was fired.
In an official statement by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, they said that Brandon is being charged with one felony count of assault with a firearm and one misdemeanor count each of exhibiting a deadly weapon and exhibiting a concealable firearm in public. Also, the charges are made in the context of two separate incidents that have occurred in the past.
According to the charges filed against him, an incident took place in October 2015 where Brandon allegedly pointed a handgun when he got into an argument with his neighbour at his home in North Hills, California. The second incident took place on March 24 when Brandon allegedly raised a knife and pointed a handgun in another argument with his neighbour.
Brandon hasn’t given any official statement to the press but his representatives did give an official statement. They said “It is our understanding that the gun in Mr. Jones’ possession was fully legal and registered, that he was on his girlfriend’s private property and that he and his girlfriend felt that they were under threat in a dispute with neighbors. The gun was not fired. We are fully confident that Mr. Jones will be completely exonerated in this incident.”
If Brandon Jones gets convicted of his charges then he could face more than fives years in prison.
