Actor of Broadway musical Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark- falls 30feet, hospitalized

MUMBAI:  An actor on the set of the Broadway musical Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark fell about 30 feet during a preview performance and has been hospitalized. He was performing an aerial stunt when he fell.

He fell about seven minutes before the end of the performance, and the show was stopped. Firefighters were called to the Foxwoods Theatre and the actor was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries. However, the actor’s name has not been released but the buzz doing the rounds is that his name is Christopher Tierney and that he is the main aerialist and performs stunts for the roles of Spider-Man.

Prior to this, there have been cases of three other accidents where actors have been injured in the same production. The musical was conceived by Tony and co-writer Julie Taymor and U2’s Bono and The Edge, who wrote the music.
