Ashok Amritraj ropes in Brandon Routh for Dead Of Night

MUMBAI: Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment has roped in actor Brandon Routh, who played Superman and Clark Kent in Superman Returns, for Dead Of Night.

Routh will play a supernatural private investigator Dylan Dog in the film, which is based on the best-selling Italian comic-book series Dylan Dog.

Created by Tiziano Sclavi, the series was first published in 1986 and has been translated into 17 languages till date. Amritraj’s production company Hyde Park Entertainment has teamed up with LA-based comic-book company Platinum Studios to co-produce the film.

Dead Of Night will be directed by Kevin Munroe, who directed last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Some of the other films, Hyde Park Entertainment is currently producing are Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and starring Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li; The Dark Country, which marks actor Thomas Jane’s directorial debut for Sony’s new Stage 6 label, and The Other End of the Line directed by James Dodson and starring Jesse Metcalfe with Shriya Saran.
