MUMBAI: The Classification and Rating Appeals Board has upheld the R rating given to the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

The Classification and Rating Administration (CARA) had earlier assigned I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry the R rating for “some crude sexual humour and nudity.” In an appeal brought by Universal Studios, the Appeals Board heard statements on behalf of the film’s director Dennis Dugan, but upheld the earlier rating.

The Classification and Rating Administration was represented by Chairman Joan Graves.
