Columbia Tristar promotes Gargotta to SVP

MUMBAI: Tommy Gargotta has been named senior executive vice president, worldwide creative advertising at Columbia TriStar Marketing Group (CTMG).

As part of Gargotta’s expanded duties within the division, he will serve in an integral capacity on the global launch of tentpole films for the company and work closely with the studio’s international marketing division. Prior to the promotion, Gargotta was solely involved in the creation and launch of domestic creative campaigns.

Gargotta has developed ad campaigns for Columbia Pictures releases like Casino Royale, Ghost Rider, The DaVinci Code, Click and Gridiron Gang. He is currently assigned to develop materials for projects including Bond 22, Angels & Demons, Surf’s Up, Vantage Point, Don’t Mess with The Zohan, and 21.
