MUMBAI: Corus Entertainment Inc.has appointed Doug Murphy as president of Corus Television.
"Doug is an outstanding executive with a proven track record for building strong teams and great brands. Since joining Corus he has consistently delivered superior business results. Doug’s predecessor, Paul Robertson, assembled a stellar team and a powerhouse portfolio of brands which will grow and prosper under Doug’s leadership," said Corus Entertainment president and CEO John Cassaday.

Murphy joined Corus Entertainment Inc. in December 2002 and was most recently executive vice president and general manager, Corus Kids and president, Nelvana. Prior to this position, Murphy was president of Nelvana Enterprises.
Murphy assumes his new role effective immediately and will report to Cassaday.
